About this work

Description

Letter to a Mr Sheppard, who has just published a book, and sending him a paper he, Armstrong-Jones, has just written. Comments on the War, the purpose in evolution, and that he is missing "my old Claybury Hall friends" (he had retired the previous year). Mentions that he has recently published in Nature [6 Sep 1917] a little review on Shell Shock [presumably Shell shock and its lessons by G. Elliot Smith and T. H. Pear], which "the authors have resented and there have been 'wigs on the green' in consequence". Conveys news of family and social activities.
