For a Diploma^ Ordinary Candidates pay the sum °^ 2 ^Apprentices of those who were Fellows of the Col- le-e prior to the Charter of 1851, pay f o for a Diploma. For the Certificate of Qualification to act as As- sistant-Surgeon in the Navy, Candidates not having paid for any previous Qualification pay £4 : 19 : 6. [Assistant-Surgeons in the Navy, having previously obtained Certificates from the College, will receive a Diploma on making up the sum to £10.] 4 For the Certificate of Qualification to act as full Surgeon in the Navy, Assistant-Surgeons who have already obtained Certificates from the College pay £3 : 18 : 6 ; and those who have previously obtained the Diploma of the College pay £2 : 17 : 6. [Surgeons in the Navy will obtain a Diploma on making up the sum to £12 : 17 : 6.] The sums stated above include all Fees of every kind, and the Officer is prohibited from receiving any. jSfB—The Director-General of the Army and Ord- nance Medical Department has authorised the College to announce that it is his purpose to give annually two Army Medical Appointments to Licentiates ot the Col- lege, recommended as having given Proofs of more iian the ordinary acquirements. The Co ege there- fore give notice that the recommendations will be awaid- ed, a! formerly, by a special Board; and that m every ca e in which a Licentiate has earned the marks which ar mentioned in p. 21, § 15, such Licentiate, on being admitted to competition for the Army Appomtments, will be exempted from being re-examined on the subjects of the ordinai-y examination for the Diploma. All those not having such marks must be subjected to re-examma- tion on professional subjects. Before Licentiates are admitted to the competition, their course of Study must be certified by the Army Sedical authorities to be conformable to Me.'
