Box file containing items of ephemera in acid free sleeves. Includes leaflets from the ministry of food about rationing during World War 1 and 2, local schemes (Bournemouth), London Vegetarian Society suggesting vegetarianism as a way of dealing with the meat shortage, recycling bone and fat for munitions, food ration books (1918, 1942, 1953-54) and coupons, national registration identty cards, clothing coupon books (1942-43), an application for a special cheese ration (1950), retailer's sugar ticket (1917) and tips on general household economies, 'Ration books to be kept' leaflet (Ministry of Food Welfare Foods Service : 1954).
