Description
Dorsal view of the head region in a zebrafish
embryo which has been stained to show neuron
development in the epiphysial region of the
diencephalon, part of the developing forebrain.
This is the region where neurons first develop in
the forebrain. In this 'floating head' mutant,
neurons which should be seen at this stage (see
wildtype B0001159C) are missing from this area.
