Description
The original Teniers painting is lost but it has also been preserved in a print by Vivant-Denon (see frame no. 26325), which shows a somewhat different scene. On the right a young naked woman is seen preparing to ascend the chimney; she is surrounded by demons and a woman who is kneeling and reading from a book
