![Lave nocturnal exacerbations of temperature, with flushed cheeks and bright eyes, followed by profuse sweating. The pulse is feeble, the urine high-coloured and scanty, and diarrhoea is apt to carry off the patient, who is said to be in a condition of hectic. 466. A patient of intemperate habits, having Delirium sustained an injury, is apt to be sleepless and to 1 mens- see spectra about the bed. The tongue is moist and thickly coated, and is tremulous when protruded, and there is tremor of the hands. The patient is feeble and exhausted, with quick ]3ulse and clammy skin, but perfectly sensible at first, though, as the disease progresses, he may become temporarily maniacal and require restraint.
