Ionic liquids and green chemistry.

The first item on the programme is about ionic liquids which are solvents consisting of electrically charged particles (ions) which could be positive or negative. They could encourage the chemical industry to turn its back for good on the contaminating practices of old and move towards a 'greener' attitude.
