Attributed to an artist identified by Laran, op. cit. p. 263 as Badoureau, an engraver working between the active period of his probable relative Jean-François Badoureau (born 1789, active ca. 1815-1835) and a chromolithographer of the same name active ca. 1866-1872

Not found in: Jean Laran, Inventaire du fonds français après 1800, Bibliothèque nationale, Département des estampes, tome II, Paris 1937, pp. 371-372, prints by C. Bethmont, but in the same series as C. Bethmont no. 1 ("Dix tableaux didactiques, avec Aug. Belin, dans le Journal des mères et des enfants, 1851-1852"). Laran p. 263 records a title print produced by this Badoureau for the same series ("Titre du journal des mères et des enfants, Revue de l'éducation nouvelle, 1848.)
