Six printed lists of individuals who appear in Hereditary Genius, divided into the categories "Men of Science; Authors in Literature and Philosophy; Commanders and Princes; Poets; Painters, Sculptors and Architects; Musicians; Statesmen". Four of the lists have been annotated by Galton regarding four criteria:

Early talents, ff 1 - 8.

Nature's Nobles - Relations, ff 9 - 16.

Date - Health - Age at death, ff 17 - 25.

Additional Names, ff 26 - 33.

Two of the lists have not been annotated, ff 34 - 49.
