    hard pulfe ; high coloured urine; functions of the fen- forium a little difturbed. Practitioners commonly call this inflammatory fever. The fifth genus he calls Typhus, which be defines to be a contagious difeafe, the heat not great- ly above the natural ; the pulfe (mail, weak, and for the molt pari frequent; the urine but little changed ; the .clions of the fenforium very much difturbed, and the ilrength greatiy diminiftied. This is commonly called ' the iilow nervous fever, The fixth genus Dr. Cullen calls Synochus, which he defines to be a contagious difeafe, and is a fever com- pofed of the fynocba and typhus j in the beginning it is afynocha, but towards the end a typhus, and this is the genus we mean particularly to treat of. It is called by fome authors * Synochus mn putris.
