Description
The inside story of the 1988 reform of the NHS is told by some of those who masterminded the reforms and by Kenneth Clarke, the Health Minister who implemented them. Among those taking part in the series are Dr. Michael Goldsmith (who took part in the review of the NHS that led to the reforms), Duncan Nicholl (NHS Chief Executive, 1989-94) and William Waldegrave who succeeded Kenneth Clarke at the Dept. of Health (1990- 92) "Part 2: A Political Operation".
