Signature on title page "Ioh. Mauritius". Stamps on verso of title page "Museum Britannicum" and "British Museum Sale Duplicate 1787". From the library of John Morris which was purchased by Charles II in 1660. Part of the Old Royal Library which was donated to the British Museum in 1757 by King George II. Sold as part of British Museum duplicate sales in 1787 (lot 2267, 6d) and bought by James Sims, whose collection was purchased by the Medical Society of London in 1800.
