Description

In most respects, the same composition as in a print by Jacques-Fabien Gautier d'Agoty published in his Anatomie des parties de la génération de l'homme et de la femme ... jointe a l'angéologie de tout le corps humain, e a ce qui concerne la grossesse et les accouchemens, Paris: J.B. Brunet & Demonville, 1773, first folding plate (numbered "Pl. IV" in mistake for Pl. I in the top half and "Plan. II" in the bottom half), inscribed (top) G.D.P. 1771" (i.e. Gautier d'Agoty pinxit 1771), and (bottom)"Ageologie [sic] ingectée et gravée en couleur par G.d'Agoty pere 1773". The painting omits some of the subsidiary figures in the print
