Reel 1: preliminary colostomy; manual exploration of abdomen; colon mobilised; glass rod inserted; wound closed; rectum later excised. Spinal anaesthesia. Anus removed. Incision; coccyx separated, levatores ani divided, rectum mobilised. Reel 2: rectum mobilised posteriorly, etc. Post-op care.
