Description

Omnia totius philosophiae compendia. Auctore Guillelmo Guenon, Philosophiae Professore in Marchiano. Notes of lectures taken down by Garnier. Engraved t.p., with medallion portraits of philosophers by Jollain of Paris, within which the title inscribed, and below the name of the writer 'Garnier'. Inserted are engraved portraits of Aristoteles, Plato, Epicurus, Seneca, Pythagoras, Porphyry and Archimedes, by H. Bonnart au Coq [Paris]: and of Aristoteles, Socrates, Epicurus, Diogenes and Descartes, by Jollain of Paris. The last named engraver has also supplied a diagram of the 'Tree of Porphyry', and five schematic figures, illustrating the syllogism. Contents: Philosophiae compendium (pp. 1-10). Compendium morale (pp. 11-32). Compendium logicum (pp. 33-162). Compendium metaphysicum (pp. 163-190). Compendium physicum (pp. 191-end). Produced in Marchiennes.
