Copy 1. Note: Date on spine 1838. Plates irregularly sized and discoloured. Engraved title plates are dated 1832 and appear to be from the same source as the 1832 edition published by Chez Masson et Yonet. Title plate for volume 4 bears the same image in both the 1932 and 1937 editions. Manuscript annotation of letters and numbers at top of front pastedown. Light pencil marks on front pastedown and endpaper at back.

Copy 1. Bound in contemporary dark brown polished leather. Faded spine with two gold-tooled bands and lettering.
