Labour reports

Labour reports from mothers sent to Penelope Samuel, providing an account of labour and birth. Letters are annotated according to whether the birth is first, second, third birth, etc, some with details of the type of birth (caesarean, breech, forceps, etc). Most letters are dated and include details of the hospital of birth. Letters are not in strict chronological order and have not been rearranged.
