The crude or recorded Death Rate for Anglesey for 1937 was 16.42; the Urban Death rate being 17.51 and the Rural 15.76. The corrected death rate—obtained by applying the Area Comparability Factor to these figures—are 15.05 for Urban areas and 12.13 for Rural areas. The Death rate for England and Wales was 12.4 per thousand. INFANTILE MORTALITY. The number of Deaths amongst Infants before completing their first year of life was 43, which is equiv- alent to 67.5 per 1,000 registered Births as compared with 52 in 1936 ; for England and Wales the rate was 59.
