About this work
Description
A collection of extracts and transcripts in English, mostly from 18th century medical authors. By various hands. The first leaf contains a table of contents, written in pencil, by a later hand. The earliest entries seem to have been written c. 1770 or before, but most are probably of the period 1785-1800, and include a number on venereal diseases: there is an inserted tract on this subject of 12 ll. in 8vo. In the lower margin of p. 40 there is an added note dated 1811, and initialled 'J.M.': some other entries have the initials 'J.O.M.', apparently by the same hand.
