About this work

Description

Upright plant with bright green conifer-like stems with no leaves or flowers (cryptogamic). Has high (10%) silica content and was once used as an abrasive in carpentry and metal cleaning. Used in homeopathy to treat cystitis and other urinary conditions. Has also been used to treat nasal polyps and to stem nosebleeds and haemhorrages.
