Description

A ten minute item on the issue of medical research publication. Organizations such as the BMJ, and COPE are calling for all medical research findings to be published. At the moment, only two drugs companies, Glaxo Wellcome and Schering, publish their research, but only when drugs are at the licence stage. When the trials fail, the results are not published. At present, the Medicines Control Agency (MCA) the only body that oversees all medical research, but this information is not published.
