About this work
Description
In February 1997, "Dolly the Sheep", made news headlines. In this programme Dr Ian Wilmut, Dolly's creator talks to the BBC's Science Correspondent, describing a hypothetical situation when it might be possible to develop human organs outside the body to replace the organs inside. Looking on the positive side, the technique can help infertile couples to have children. But some geneticists fear that cloning could be used to produce genetically engineered babies.
