Hidden Sexology

Hidden Sexology is an evening of film, poetry and conversation exploring some of the familiar and hidden sites of sexual encounters in Glasgow. This event takes place in Glasgow; see below for details.

In May 2015, six writers invited audiences to join them on a walk through the city centre to hear poems inspired by the themes of the Sexology Season – this happened at sites of drunken, romantic, kinky sex, cottaging, prostitution and sexual violence. They were accompanied by sexologist Dr. Jamie Lawson who discussed research into how behaviour and attitudes to sex are relevant and important for personal well-being. Read the poems below.

Artist Peter Hastie has used footage recorded during the walk and other locations in Glasgow for the film Hidden Sexology, which will be premiered at the CCA in September (see event below) and will be available for viewing afterwards at confab.
