2 – 25 March 2015

Our Sexology Season partner in Brighton is SICK! Festival 2015. Sex and sexuality is one of their thematic focuses this year, along with the interlocking themes of harm/abuse, suicide and mental health. The festival brings artists and audiences together with healthcare professionals, academics, charities and healthcare service users. SICK! Festival will reflect on issues including the nature of sexual attraction, the psychology and dynamics of sexual relations, and the ways in which our sexual actions come to define our identities. Reflecting the full range of genders and sexualities, the programme will explore to what extent we are free to explore and enjoy our sexual desires, and how much our experience is affected by social codes.

The programme will present performance (live art, theatre and dance), film, debates, talks, literature events and commissioned texts. SICK! is also running a parallel programme in Manchester for the first time and some of these events will form part of the Manchester Sexology Season.
