A catalogue of curious and valuable books, to be disposed of by way of sale, (The lowest price being marked at each book), at the shop of Alexander Donaldson, the first fore-stair above the entry to the royal bank, Edinburgh. The sale to begin on Monday the 12th day of June 1758, and to continue for two months. In this collection are the following books. Folio. The books are in good condition, all complete, many of them new; and being priced very low, will be sold only for ready money. - As the person who first commissions or demands a book, must always be preferred, it is hoped that those who intend to be purchasers will send their orders soon. A Catalogue of rare, valuable and curious books, manuscripts relating to Scotland, particularly to many of the most ancient families, medals, and near 4000 curious pamphlets relating to the times for the last 100 years; all collected with the greatest care by the late celebrated antiqurian Mr. Robert Miln Writes in Edinburgh. The auction begins on Tuesday March 22d, in that large fine room 2d door below Mr. Wilson's, vintner in the Writers-Court. The time of sale from five to eight at night. The books will be shown three days before the auction begins. Catalogues will be got from Mr. Alexander Murray at his house in Miln's land, and William Hamilton bookseller at the Cross. The entires will be very low.

At R. Montagu's book-warehouse, the General Post-Office, that end of Great Queen-Street, next Drury-Lane. Is a choice collection of valuable books in all faculties and parts of learning. In English, Hebrew, Greek, Latin, Frech, &c. Together with several rare manuscripts. Being two curious libraries lately purchased, the whole consisting of above five thousand volumes. Which will begin to be sold cheap for ready money only, on Thursday the 27th of this instant April, 1738. The price being affixed to the first leaf of each book. There will likewise be exposed to sale a large number of fairly wrote manuscript sermons. Catalogues to be had gratis at the place of sale. Ready money for any library [of books], pictures, or any household [furniture]. Libraries sold for gentlemen, at [r]easonable rates, either by auction or ma[ns] catalgue. Such gentlemen, &c. who have books to bind, gild, or letter, may have them done in the best manner, on very reasonable terms, there being a number of good hands constantly employ'd, also marbled on leaves. Which art, long since lost, is now again retrieved, and far exceeds any done heretofore. Likewise books, or paper, stained by wet, or writing in the margin, or ever-so-much daub'd with ink, may be made perfectly clean, without damaging print or paper.
