A catalogue of the libraries of that learned antiquarian Nathaniel Boothe, Esq; and others, purchased since the Harleian collection: Containing above twenty-thousand volumes, relating to the history and antiquities of all nations; amongst which are, the Journals of the House of Lords, 105 vols. in manuscript. The Votes of the House of Commons, 48 vols. The London Gazette, 40 vols. ... Aldrovandus's works compleat; in 13 vols. civil, canon, and common law books. Troctatus Tractatuum, 28 vols &c. Books of medals, inscriptions, mathematicks, and other arts and sciences. To which is added, a fine collection of Italian, Flemish, and French prints, by the greatest masters, and a choice parcel of original manuscripts. On account of the largeness of this collection, there is a longer time than usual given for the sale, that gentleman, who live at a distance, may have time to peruse the catalogue, to see the particular books they have occasion for; which they may do every day (the books being in order) till the day of sale, which will be on monday, the 12th day of January, for ready money (only) the prices being marked cheaper than usual, in the first leaf of each book, at T. Obsorne's in Gray's-Inn, and will continue selling all the summer season. where may he had money for any library or parcel of books. N.B. [A] catalogue of all the genuine houshold furniture, plate, watches, rings, linen, china, and other effects of Mrs. Mercy Holier, (deceased.) Which (by order of the exceutor) will be sold by auction, by H. Robins, on the premises, No. 8, Little Drury-Lane, on Wednesday next, April 1, 1778. The furniture consists of a neat mahogany double chest of drawers, a bureau, ditto four-post and other bedsteads and furniture, good feather bed and bedding, an eight day clock, a large lead cistern, a copper and ranges as fixed, and many other valuable effects. Among the pictures are the following masters, viz. Andrea Schiavone, Quintin Matsys, Holbein, Leon. da Vinci, Titian, Giorgione, M.A. Garravaggio, VanDyke, Wuovermans, Berghem, Hondt, Luca Jordano, VanderVeldt, De Neef, G Poussin, Wenix, Van Aelst, Paul Brill, &c. Which will be sold auction, by Mr. Prestage, (by order of the executors) at his great room the end of Savile-Row, next Conduit-street, Hanover-square, on Thursday and Friday the 9th and 10th of January 1755. In the said collection are two pictures of the triumphs of the Duke of Marlborough, twelve foot long and eight foot high. The whole to be exhibited to public view on Tuesday and Wednesday, the 7th and 8th instant, to the time of sale, which will begin each day exactly at 12 o'clock. A catalogue of all the materials of the dwelling-house, out-houses, &c. Of His Grace James Duke of Chandos, deceasd, at his late seat call'd Cannons, near Edgware in Middlesex: divided into such easy sortments, or lots, as to make it agreeable to the publick.
