Whether it’s doing an activity pack in one of our galleries or exploring our shop, there are plenty of opportunities for families to have a fun-filled and inspiring day out in central London.

Our collections contain some human remains, objects with sexual content and images of surgical procedures. While the content in our galleries is most suitable for ages 14 and up, we’ve prepared some special activities for children aged 5 to 10 to enjoy our museum and library with their families.

Young Explorers’ Pack

Our Young Explorers’ Pack takes you on a journey through ‘Medicine Man’ and the Reading Room, choosing the most age-appropriate items in our collections.

Youth activities

Our Studio is on level 1, through the Being Human gallery.

If you have a 14 to 19-year-old in the family, encourage them to take part in one of our youth activities on their own, such as a RawMinds project in the spring or summer holidays.
