'Sleeping & Dreaming' combined art and medical science to explore sleep – the mysterious state we all inhabit for a third of our lives.

The exhibition drew together 300 objects across five themes to explore the biomedical and neurological processes that occur within our sleeping bodies, and the social and cultural areas of our lives to which sleep and dreams are linked. Exhibits ranged from work by artists such as Goya and Rodney Graham to a victim of sleep-deprived interrogation talking about his experiences, a vehicle to provide homeless people with a mobile shelter in which to sleep, and bizarre alarm clocks.
