Ordering Nature: Scientific

Discussion

Fully booked

Thursday 23 March 2017

19:00-20:30

Please note this event takes place at the Grant Museum of Zoology, Rockefeller Building, UCL, University Street, WC1E 6DE. It is a 5 minute walk from Wellcome Collection.

Our desire to categorise and order nature is strong, but are our classification systems at odds with reality? Might there be other approaches to understanding the natural world?

In this first of two 'Ordering Nature' events, join special museum guides for a hands-on tour in a late opening of the Grant Museum. They will use the displays and specimens to help you get to grips with how scientists currently order the natural world

This event is a collaboration between Wellcome Collection and the Grant Museum of Zoology, UCL.

This event is FREE. Tickets are available from the Grant Museum from 11.00 on Friday 24 February.

For enquiries contact the Grant Museum on 020 3108 2052 or email d.veall@ucl.ac.uk.
