What you’ll do

Join us for conversation and performance with award-winning artist Lizzie Emeh, who will discuss her personal experiences of mental health and learning disability, and the inspiration behind her latest EP, ‘Meds’. The evening will be hosted by Tilley Milburn and Del the Pig, and will feature special guest performances.

This event is in the style of other Heart n Soul Chat Up events.

We’ll be in the Forum. To get there, take the lift or stairs up to level 1 and then follow the signs through the ‘Being Human’ gallery.

Place not guaranteed

Booking a ticket for a free event does not guarantee you a place. You should aim to arrive 15 minutes before the event is scheduled to start to claim your place. If you do not arrive on time, your place may be given to someone on the waiting list.

About your contributors

Lizzie Emeh

Artist

Lizzie Emeh is one of Heart n Soul's key artists. She launched her debut album Loud and Proud in October 2009 and made history as the first solo artist with a learning disability to release an album of her own songs to the general public. Her new EP, ‘Meds’, is released in spring 2019.

Tilley Milburn

Host

Tilley Milburn is a singer-songwriter and performance artist. She is particularly interested in work that explores and appeals to people with learning disabilities and/or mental health issues. Her best friend is Del the Pig, a soft toy, whom she always performs with.

Heart n Soul

Collaborator

Award-winning creative arts company and charity Heart n Soul were residents of The Hub from 2018 to 2020. They believe in the power and talents of people with learning disabilities and autistic people. They work together to make great art with imagination, love and trust.
