This study day explores the ethics of acquiring, using and displaying human remains - both today and in the past. Developed from our study day to accompany the Death: A self-portrait exhibition, the session uses exhibits in our permanent galleries, historical and contemporary case studies, roleplay and debate to explore personal, professional and societal attitudes towards our treatment of the dead.
A 'Death: A self-portrait Teachers' Pack is available for download on our Learning Resources page.
