Thursday 8 March 2018
Tuesday 10 July 2018
Spring term: Two on-demand sessions available to request between January and March (see below for details).
Summer term: Two on-demand sessions available to request in April or July (see below for details).
A study day of activities on the theme of body image, with creative and discussion-based workshops. The session uses Wellcome Collection's two permanent galleries as a starting point for considering body image in contemporary society, in the past and in different cultures. Advances in science and technology have enabled us to change, augment and repair our bodies in ways previous generations could never have imagined. We look at the ethical questions that arise from this ability and ask where it might lead us in the future.
The session develops enquiry, literacy, debating and creative skills and can be adapted to suit a variety of curriculum areas.
To book students on to any study day, discuss your particular requirements, or suggest an idea for a future project, please contact the Youth Programme team:

We will run two on-demand 'Body Image' sessions in each term. If you are interested, email firstname.lastname@example.org to suggest three dates in order of preference - with at least four weeks' notice of the earliest.
