Bodies in Balance
Saturday 16 January 2016
Join us for a lively day of activities and talks exploring Tibetan medicine and healing, from pulse reading, urine analysis and other classical methods of observational diagnosis, to the application of Tibetan Yogas in contemporary medical settings.
Learn about your own body type and what it means to be balanced from a different cultural perspective. Challenge your notion of the universe, from macrocosm to microcosm. Drop-in activities include a tour of 'Tibet's Secret Temple' with its co-curator and a rare opportunity to observe the early stages of a week-long creation and offering of a Medicine Mandala.
This event is FREE and drop-in but there will be three ticketed activities happening as part of the day. Further information can be found via the links to each activity below.
- Harmony of Body, Breath and Mind (fully booked)
Tibetan Medicine, Inside Out (fully booked)
- Meditation as Medicine? (advanced tickets fully booked; limited tickets available from 14.00 on the day)
