Watch Dolly Sen as, in this part rant, part performance, she takes the idea that hysteria, or a “wandering womb” (a displaced uterus) caused medical pathologies in women. Dolly will don her “period costume” for a “wombalogue”, where the wandering womb gets to have her say.
The performance includes strong and sexual language and historical references to abuse (including sexual abuse), and violence (including female genital mutilation and sexual assault), mental health and identity-based discrimination.
