What you’ll do

Listen to historian Lesley Hall talk about the challenge of uncovering and interpreting traces of women's sexuality in the historical record. You’ll have the opportunity to reflect on what was historically recorded and why, whether explicit diaries or letters are really windows into the past, and to think about how well modern categories fit historic situations. You can ask questions or just sit and listen.

This event is part of Daylighting, a four-day programme of events to challenge archives, change narratives and amplify new voices.
