    The modern practice of physic; as improv'd by the celebrated professors, H. Boerhaave, and F. Hoffman, Physician to the late and present King of Prussia: being a translation of the aphorisms of the former, with the Commentaries of Dr. Van Swieten, so far as was necessary to explain the doctrine laid down; and of such parts of Dr. Hoffman's works, as supply the deficiencies of Boerhaave, and render the whole Practice of Physic compleat: Wherein, the various Diseases to which the Human Body is subject, are distinctly consider'd, whence the Diagnostics and Prognostics together with the Method of Cure are regularly deduc'd, and the Prescriptions adapted thereto from Boerhaave's Materia Medica, are added to every Aphorism.
